About Stacy Eli Woods

A geostatistican by training, Dr. Woods brings decades of experience in the application of spatial data science to environmental health research, law, and policy. Her research employs spatial statistics and geographic information systems (GIS) to investigate diverse environmental issues, from predicting lead pipe locations in Flint to quantifying pesticide runoff hazards to manatees in Florida. She has served as an expert witness and science advisor on numerous state and federal environmental litigation cases, including the landmark Flint water case (Concerned Pastors for Social Action v. Khouri). She holds a PhD in environmental health engineering and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
